I recently had a request to fix an issue where columns on an Excel Worksheet were merged when exported from a Report in Maximo. I may be the last one to discover the solution but I thought I’d share what I found. In the old days, the answer was that the Excel Emitter caused the issue and IBM took no responsibility.
Now, if you are scheduling a report, you simply choose the ‘XLS Other’ option when sending the report as an attachment. Alternatively, if you are not scheduling a report, you can export the report and choose the ‘XLS Emitter Format’ option.
